Photos submitted to this site do not constitute evidence of any violation of health codes, safety regulations, or any law. For official health concerns, contact your local health department.

DirtyVent is an interactive computer service as defined under 47 U.S.C. § 230. We are not the publisher or speaker of user-submitted content and are not liable for content provided by users of the platform.

Listing Removal & Clean-Up Verification

Establishments may request removal of a listing or submit photographic evidence that the reported vent has been cleaned. Verified clean-up submissions will receive a “Cleaned Up!” badge on the original post. To initiate a removal or verification request, email verify@dirtyvent.com with your business name, address, and supporting documentation.

Privacy & Photo Metadata

DirtyVent extracts GPS location data from photo EXIF metadata to verify that submissions correspond to the claimed establishment location. All other EXIF data (device identifiers, timestamps, etc.) is stripped from photos before they are stored or displayed. We do not sell personal data. User account information is used solely to operate the platform.

Submitter Responsibility

By submitting a photo, you represent and warrant that: (1) the photo was taken by you, (2) it accurately depicts a real condition at a real establishment, (3) you have the right to submit it, and (4) it does not contain private individuals' faces or other personally identifiable information. Knowingly submitting false or fabricated content may expose you to civil liability.
